At Clarkston Capital, we use a cooperative, team-based approach to support our valued clients with knowledgeable, client-focused IR managers. IR acts as a valued liaison between our clients and the Investment Team, allowing us to clearly communicate Clarkston Capital’s investment philosophy and process. Our main focus is to foster long-term relationships with clients utilizing Clarkston Capital strategies to help meet investment goals.
Claire Baenen
Investor Relations
Claire G. Baenen joined the firm in 2015. In her current role, Claire supports the Investor Relations team in various client service initiatives.
Prior to joining Clarkston, Claire served as an Administrator for Crescendo Homes.
Claire holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Michigan State University.
Chris Klau
Director, Investor Relations
Christopher R. Klau joined the firm in 2017 to serve and grow the firm's financial intermediary relationships. Chris also helps lead the firm’s marketing and branding efforts.
Prior to joining Clarkston, Chris served as Director of Business Development for Quicken Loans.
Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts, Marketing from Hillsdale College.
Matt Rodgers
Investor Relations
Matthew J. Rodgers joined the firm in 2019 as a member of the Investor Relations team. In his current role, Matt is an integral part of the organizational and service related aspects of the team.
Prior to joining Clarkston, Matt served as a financial advisor for Morgan Stanley.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Evansville. Matt is a Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA®) Level 3 candidate.
Dave Rumph
Director of Institutional Operations, Marketing & Strategy
David W. Rumph joined the firm in 2015 to oversee the day-to-day operational activities of the institutional division of Clarkston as well as to provide administrative oversight of the firm’s mutual fund advisory services. His role has evolved more recently to include supporting the marketing and strategic initiatives of the firm’s data-driven sales organization.
Prior to joining Clarkston, Dave served as the Director of Fund Administration for Munder Capital Management and Treasurer for its proprietary family of mutual funds.
Dave holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.
Kurt Terrien
Managing Director, Investor Relations
Kurt P. Terrien joined the firm in 2013 to oversee the firm's institutional business, including sales, consultant relations and client service.
Prior to joining Clarkston, Kurt served as the Director of Sales and Consultant Relations for Johnson Institutional Management and Vice President of Institutional Asset Management for National City Bank.
Kurt holds a Bachelor of Arts, Finance from Walsh College and a Master of Business Administration from Wayne State University.
